Grr Sweater
by Ivy Sipes
This delightful colorwork Grr Sweater by Ivy Sipes has the sweetest motifs of any of the dog sweaters on our list. The bones are my favorite!
The Grr Sweater is designed for dogs with a 15 inch to 42 inch chest circumference. You will knit your sweater in the round starting at the neck. When you reach the leg holes, you will begin to work back and forth before joining in the round again for the remainder of the sweater.
Add a ribbed band to the body and legs to provide a cozier fit. The colorwork motifs are both charted and written out, but if you’re intimidated by the thought of colorwork, no problem! Choose just one motif to complete, or leave it out altogether and knit the Grr Sweater in a solid color.
The Grr Sweater is designed for Knit Pick’s Swish DK which is made from 100% Superwash Merino Wool. For a more rustic look, consider Knit Pick’s City Tweed DK which combines Merino Wool, Alpaca and Donegal Tweed.
