The Huge Ribbed Scarf by Sirdar is one of my favorite patterns featured today. It’s trendy, oversized and chunky – just perfect for the cold weather.
The Huge Ribbed Scarf is knit in Sirdar Adventure, a super chunky roving style wool blend made from 80% acrylic and 20% wool and is SURE to knit up quickly. The perfect knitting needle for this yarn is a 12mm (US 17). My favorite pair from Sirdar is their Hand Painted Bamboo Knitting Needles:

Advanced Brioche Knitting Patterns
Hedge Maze Shawl

The Hedge Maze Shawl by Julia Decker is one of the most spectacular knitting patterns I’ve ever seen. It features a brioche stitch pattern that is designed to look like leaves and branches as they grow.
The Hedge Maze Shawl is a half-circle shape knit using the pi formula that was developed by the incomparable Elizabeth Zimmerman. The pattern itself includes full written instructions as well as charts and there are video tutorials available for the provisional cast on and Brioche decreases.

Stephen West has very quickly become a household name within the knitting community and it’s very easy to see why. His use of color, texture and stitch make for some of the most show stopping designs which include the Briochevron Wrap Pattern.
Grab your leftover fingering weight yarns for this project – you’ll need lots of ’em. You’ll also need to pair your contrasting colors with a semi solid neutral such as grey, cream or white.

I dare you to knit a Brioche cardigan! The Brioche Hug by Cozy Up Knits is one of the most popular brioche knitting patterns on LoveCrafts (as of this post). It’s knit from the bottom up and is designed to fit with lots of room in the body.
The Brioche Hug pictured above is knit in Gingersnap DK Lux. You’ll need a main color as well as contrasting colors of your choice.
