I’ve often heard people compare embroidery to painting. Instead of canvas we use fabric and instead of paint we use thread, but the ability to create depth, texture and beauty are just the same.
Embroidery is one of my favorite crafts. Once I’ve begun I feel like I can lose myself in the rhythm of the stitches and it becomes an almost meditative experience.

According to Avlea Folk Embroidery, the Bitkit Floret Border Pattern originated in a vintage 1940s embroidery booklet found in the basement of a needlework shop in Thessaloniki. Despite its age, the pattern is just as vibrant and beautiful today!
